...b ecause your friend’s *slightly* broken boat is parked at your dock, having not made it all the way home the night before.
I texted him this picture and the reply was “it wasn’t broken, just resting.” Which is technically true. It would overheat after a few minutes, so they let it cool, then drove it to my house and hitched a ride rather than trying to go through the ~10 minute idle through a river to get to where they usually dock it.
We were at a wedding and I had forgotten his boat was there (parked where I usually put my boat ) when I came home late and obviously in the dark. Luckily I saw it in time, haha.
Fun times, fun times.

True story, on one of the older shoots of Google Maps the Streetview of my dad’s house shows my mom packing up her car the day she moved out.

Nice. For a few years I was on google earth in the boat. It was one of the days that spring I was getting the boat ready for the year. It was in the driveway, with the cover partially off and a blob in the bow that was me doing something up there.
